Team features in OE12 and OEScore implemented

In OE12 V.12.1., the event types Teams only, Normal and distributed controls are fully supported now. All functions which deal with teams, f.ex. Entries, Courses, Chip evaluation, Results have been enhanced to cover the right calculations and the right visual appearance. Almost all reports where teams are included have a special layout which is similar to the layouts of the OS12 relay application.
A special new feature in OE12 is the code checking for team events with distributed controls. Shortly said, at such team competitions the teams have to run a course with obligate controls for every team mate, while other controls can be distributed among the team members because they only need to be punched by one of them. This is the functionality of the former SportSoftware application OLTeam (OT2003) V.10.3. Read more details about this here.
There is also a new demo event which was the German team championship with distributed controls, held by my club in 2005 (using OLTeam V10 at that time).
Some minor bugs and small but important improvements have been done also.

OEScore V.12.1 has been updated accordingly. It includes the same special report layouts for team events like OE12.

 

OE12 and OEScore will detect this update automatically. You can also use the Check for updates function in OE12 and OEScore to download the new setup. Of course you could also click on the Downloads button to get it.
As usual, the download works as trial version as long as you don’t have a valid OE12 or OEScore V12 license. Updates or new licenses can be ordered through the Online shop or from the author directly.

OEScore updated

OEScore V.12.1 has been updated according to the last OE12 update.
OEScore will detect this update automatically. You can also use the Check for updates function in OEScore to download the new setup. Of course you could also click on the Downloads button to get it.

OS12 published

OS12 for relays is available!

In the beta phase OS12 has already been used at some national championships and other events. My warmest thanks go to all early adopters! Especially I want to thank Fabrizio Cocco (SUI) and Urs Hofer (SUI) who provided me their most valuable feedback and bug reports when they prepared for the Swiss sprint individual and relay championships which have been held in Basel last weekend.

OS12 V.12.1 is now in the same state as OE12 and OEScore V.12.1.

The SportSoftware V12 has a new reengineered framework and a new modernized user interface (UI). Nevertheless, SportSoftware users of previous versions will get accustomed to the new UI very quickly, since all user functions can be found in similar places.

The most important functional improvements of the SportSoftware V.12.1 are

  • The support of up to 192 controls per chip or course
  • The new ChipReader apps which allow to read chips at smartphones or Windows PCs and transfer them to OE12 (soon also OS12 and OEScore) by a wireless connection

  • Live Results on multiple screens
  • Support of multiple monitors with different resolutions

Some rarely used functions of OS12 like the restart are not yet implemented. They will be added soon. Also, the translated help files in Swedish, Finnish and Spanish are still under construction. OS12 will find them automatically after they are available.
