OS2010, the SportSoftware application for organising orienteering relay events, is available in V.11.0 today. Like OE2010, also OS2010 is a complete reengineering of the previous version OS2003. Besides the new UI and the reengineered basic features which you already know from OE2010, some of the most important improvements are the full integration of Xtra legs (so far only known to Swedish OS2003 users), the multiple late starts and the multiple restarts. You can read a short overview here.
I thank all worldwide testers who had contributed constructively during the past months, so that OS2010 is userfriendly and runs reliably and stable from the beginning, according to the demands of the SportSoftware. Special thanks go to Martin Mandinger (SWE), Henning Waltgård (SWE) and Jouni Laaksonen (FIN) for their extraordinary help which they provided to me.
You can download the trial version from the download page. Additional printable manuals as well as the German help file can be obtained from the special Version11 download page.
Enjoy exploring OS2010! Updates can be ordered through the online shop.
EventorManager V.11.0 available
EventorManager is a free add-on to OE2010/OS2010 for Swedish users, which simplifies the communication to their central web service Eventor. By one-click-downloads and uploads, EventorManager establishes a direct connection between OE2010/OS2010 and Eventor. EventorManager will be continuously updated to cover new requirements from Eventor. Thus Swedish users are obliged to always use the latest version of EventorManager. You can download the setup from the Swedish support page.
OE2010 V.11.0 update
This is a new update for the registered OE2010 users. This release includes some improvements and bug fixes which came up when implementing OS2010. The main focus lays in the support for the IOF’s newest XML definition V.3.0. So far, OE2010 (and OS2010 also) supports this new format with the imports of entries, classes and clubs.
The Finnish help file and the handbooks are available now. Many thanks again to Jouni Laaksonen, who did a great job here!
A special hint for users from Sweden and Germany: the ready-to-use national archives which can be downloaded from the Swedish and German support pages, do work together with the latest OE2010 release only!
As usual, the download works as trial version as long as you don’t have a valid OE2010 license. You can download it from the download page. Additional printable manuals as well as (so far) the German, Swedish and Finnish help files can be obtained from the special Version11 download page. Updates from V10 can be ordered through the online shop.
